Drumming

There’s a scene in the movie Chariots of Fire where Eric Lidell says, “I believe God made me for a purpose, but He also made me fast.  And when I run, I feel His pleasure.”

That’s how I feel about playing the drums.  I feel that I express myself most clearly when I have a pair of drumsticks in my hands.  There is nowhere outside of my home where I feel more comfortable than when I’m sitting behind a set of drums.

This page contains links to some of my more recent playing, as well as a schedule of where you can see me play.  Currently, I play at Bridgeway Community Church in Columbia, MD, and I also have the pleasure of playing for Nikki Lerner both in concert and in the studio.

So take a listen to the clips on these pages, and let me know what you think.

Oh, I should mention because I get asked frequently:  I am not a private drum teacher, and unless you’re willing to pay me $1,000 an hour to teach you, I’m not looking to become one.  But hey, if you’re willing to shell out $1k/hr, we’ll talk… 🙂

What do you think?
